GALLERY NIGHT - Dec 8, 6-8pm

Invite a friend and come enjoy an evening of Maine-inspired art alongside local music, wine, cheese, coffee, and Christmas cookies. Artist-in-residence Leah Samuelson will be displaying and selling her pencil, colored pencil and watercolor pieces she’s been creating while here in Maine. Madelyn Morrell and Friends will be playing traditional Irish tunes and Celtic Christmas carols. The exhibit is family-friendly, and will include a touch corner where visitors can see the artist's watercolor palette, other sketchbooks, and art supplies.  Friday, December 8 from 6-8p at Rise Church.

ADVENT COMMUNTY MURAL

As part of our series Advent: Making All Things New, we are embarking on engaging the creative process together as a community through painting a mural canvas. Whether you are an artist or haven’t touched a paintbrush since elementary school, all levels are encouraged to participate. The purpose is to build community and contribute to making something that reflects God’s glory. Pick a time slot, grab some friends or folks you want to get to know, bring your favorite beverage or snack, and create memories and maybe a masterpiece! The mural will integrate both Biblical imagery and theological reflection on the Advent season. All ages welcome.
